Yves Vaage
Oslo, Norway, is Yves’ hometown and one of Europe’s fastest‑growing capitals, combining a modern skyline, fjord views and forests that make outdoor life a natural part of everyday routine. Growing up in a city known for its clean design, efficient public transport and strong sporting culture has shaped his discipline, game intelligence and calmness on the ball. From this northern football environment, Yves now takes the next step in his career by moving to the United States.
Xavier University is a private Jesuit university located in Cincinnati, Ohio, with around 5,600 students and more than 80 majors on a 100‑plus‑acre urban campus. The university focuses on combining strong academics, values‑driven education and close‑knit campus life, giving student‑athletes the support they need to grow on and off the field. For Yves, this means studying at a highly regarded institution while competing every week at Division 1 level.
On the pitch, Xavier men’s soccer competes in NCAA Division 1 within the Big East Conference, facing some of the strongest programs in the country. The Musketeers are known for their high‑intensity style, competitive conference schedule and consistent presence in national D1 conversations, giving players exposure and a professional training environment. Joining this program allows Yves to bring his Norwegian background and technical quality into a team that competes at the highest college level in the U.S.
