Ben Schultheis

Ben Schultheis grew up in Peachtree City, Georgia, a master‑planned community just south of Atlanta that is famous for its network of more than 100 miles of golf‑cart paths connecting neighborhoods, schools and parks. Living in a city built around outdoor life and easy access to sports facilities has helped shape his calm presence, discipline and love for competition. This background now connects directly with his next step in college soccer.

Wright State University, located near Dayton in Fairborn, Ohio, is a public research university with a campus of more than 500 acres and over 300 academic programs across six colleges and a medical school. Students benefit from a supportive academic environment, modern facilities and strong programs in areas such as business, engineering, health and the liberal arts. For Ben, this means combining a demanding athletic schedule with a solid academic pathway and access to resources that help student‑athletes succeed in the classroom.

On the field, the Wright State Raiders men’s soccer program competes in NCAA Division I and has built a reputation as a tough Horizon League team with a strong competitive history. The program reached the NCAA Division I Men’s Soccer Tournament for the first time in 2019 and recorded a memorable win over Notre Dame, showing its ability to compete on the national stage. As a goalkeeper, Ben joins an environment focused on performance, development and exposure, where daily training and high‑level matches push him to grow and impact the team from day one.
